These animations show the monthly difference in sea surface temperature between two reference periods: 2030-2035 and 2050-2054 averages. The outputs are based on simulations from a regional biogeochemical ocean model for the Atlantic Canada region, forced with atmospheric outputs from two global climate models (CanESM2 and MPI) under the RCP 8.5 emissions scenario. Each frame represents a single month of the year. Positive values indicate warming in the later period relative to the earlier period, while negative values indicate cooling.
